Nokia could launch a new retro phone again later this month

Nokia could have booked a surprise for early 2024, with the announcement of a new retro device as we have been accustomed in recent times, reliving classics with current technology.

Nokia has already dared to launch different retro devices such as the Nokia 3310, the Nokia 8110 4G and the Nokia 2720 Flip 4G, and now they could have another surprise reserved although it is still unknown which classic device can re-launch the market.

The information comes from a funny tweet shared by Juho Sarvikas, responsible for products of HMD Global, which in his Twitter account has hinted that on the occasion of the Chinese New Year, which will happen on January 25, they plan to launch a new Nokia Original.
The fact that they have specifically referred to the Chinese New Year, would seem to imply that it is an exclusive launch in that country, which would be very interesting to know what another classic device they want to launch in the market in case it also ends up reaching West.
Previously it had been speculated that Nokia could end up announcing a new original Nokia at the Mobile World Congress 2024 that will be held in Barcelona at the end of February but could advance its announcement specifically one month.
Given that the Nokia 9.2 would have been delayed until the end of 2024 because the company would be interested in including inside the new Snapdragon 865 processor, it is likely that they want to compensate their followers with a launch of a renewed classic to current times.
