Ceballos’ added time goal sends Arsenal to the FA Cup semi-finals

Sometimes being a little late also helps. Arsenal could make a place in FA Cup semi-finals because of late Ceballo’s goal.   

Post the manager Arsene Wenger left the team in 2018, this is Arsenal’s first domestic semi-final entry.  Sheffield United’s droop stayed in the English FA Cup with a 2-1 win at Bramall Lane on Sunday.

 Nicolas Penalty by Pepe in first-half looked as if this is the game changer but David McGoldrick equaled the score before substitute Dani Ceballos won it for Arsenal in injury time for the north London sides. This might be the best chance of European Football next season.

Even before the lockdown, Chris Wilder’s men were losing confidence and form. The match saw a slow start and the Blades were leading after eight minutes with two corners.

One of the corners saw John Lundstram heading on the goal-line after Oli McBurnie had nodded the ball back across goal. The video reference referee ruled it out for offside. A throw by Jack Robinson was flicked on by McBurnie and McGoldrick just missed being converted into a goal. 

The Arsenal were heading towards ties when they took the lead midway through the first half. Arsenals were now leading and only a fine one-handed save from Dean Henderson.  He bent down on his left and Pepe thus could not make a goal. The Blades regrouped in the break and did well in the second half.
