Samsung will double the memory of its next smartwatch

Smartwatches have become the perfect complement to track the physical activity of many people. Samsung is a benchmark in the market for these wearables, and for this year it has prepared several developments in this regard, this time doubling the internal storage: up to 8GB on its next Galaxy Watch.

Two weeks ago we received the first rumors that Samsung was working on a new Galaxy Watch. From Sammobile they have confirmed that this new wearable is still in process and, among other novelties, we know that the South Korean company will double the internal storage of its watch, 4 GB as it has the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2, to 8 GB of internal memory in this new model.

We still do not know the official name with which the South Korean company will launch this device: it is not clear if it will be Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 3 or it will be the successor of the Galaxy Watch (also 4 GB) and will be called Galaxy Watch 2.
Samsung’s next smartwatch is in process and will arrive in two sizes. As they say in Sammobile, two model codes have been discovered: the SM-R840 model and the SM-R850 model. It remains to be seen if its dimensions will be the same as those of the Galaxy Active 2, 40 mm and 44 mm.

In any case, the new line of Samsung wearables will have 8 GB of internal storage, that is, double that of its latest models. The 8 GB of additional storage will allow users to have more applications or store more music, so the watch will be less independent of the smartphone.

Hopefully, these models will come with updated internal components and new software features, although we don’t know their specifications. What we do know as it has been revealed is that the SM-R840 model will have a 330 mAh battery, higher than the Watch Active 2 40 mm, 247 mAh.

In 2019 Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch and the Galaxy Watch Active 2, accompanied by the launch of the Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy Note 10, respectively. No matter if the expected Galaxy S20, which we already know its release date, this new smartwatch will accompany you.
