Katie couch and her ignited creative and expressive personality.

Competitive Dancing has become one of the most competitive and intimidating industries to enter due to the increased amount of people from all different age groups. Katie Couch is one of the most recent dancers and actresses that have taken the industry by surprise with her superb dance skills. Katie was born in Michigan, USA on March 23, 2007. She has an older sister, Mackenzie Couch, and an identical twin, Kameron Couch, which are both experienced dancers as well. Katie started dancing at age seven and it immediately ignited her creative and expressive personality. She began dancing at her local rec classes and after some time she worked her way up to competitive style dancing. Katie may be a skilled competitive dancer but she also lives a normal teenage life and has to balance school life with her busy career.

Katie is at school from about 8 am to 3:30 pm and then goes to dance practice from 4 to sometimes as late as 9:30. It is very difficult for Katie to have an over 12 hour day and still go home to do her homework, she says it is the most challenging part of her career. Thankfully for Katie, she has the vast amount of passion and dedication needed to manage such a busy dance career in conjunction with her schoolwork. She is most recognized for her performance with Project 21 and the Westside Dance Project. Back in 2017, she was a featured dancer in DJ Snake’s, “A Different Way”, music video. She also made an appearance in a Kesha music video in 2019. The reason she puts in countless hours of work is that she adores the feeling of being on stage. Once she steps foot on stage she immediately forgets everything going on around her and is able to focus only on performing, it is a relief from reality.

All her performances take a toll on her body which is why she must often meet with her trainer for muscle recovery and health management. She has been able to stay focused and on track with the inspiration of both her favorite actress, Selena Gomez, and her mother. She has had to work very hard to maintain her confidence and says that without her confidence she would not be able to ignore her haters and stay focused on her career. She still has lots of projects in the work for the future and is working towards one day dancing for Taylor Swift. Her advice to her fans and anyone else trying to enter the dance industry is the stop hesitating and just go for it.
