How to play Texas Hold’em
The game will start with the players placing their bets to the dealer. The dealer will then shuffle one deck of cards. Once the shuffle is over, he will check for the bets of the players. If all the bets are on, he will give two cards to each player, known as the hole cards. He will keep two cards for himself. After providing the hole cards, he will place five cards upside down on the community cards area. Now, the players can see their hole cards. After seeing the cards, they can decide to continue the game, withdraw from the hand, or checking. The proceedings will be as follows.
The player sitting next to the dealer in the clockwise direction will see his hole cards and decide to bet; check, or fold. If he decides to bet, he should place twice the amount of already existing bet. The process of checking is to sit simply and pass on the turn to the next player. Pre-Flop – It is the first step of a player seeing his hole cards and deciding his move.
Flop – After the first round of betting, the dealer will keep three community cards face-up. Then the active player sitting immediately to the dealer in the clockwise direction will choose to bet or check after seeing those three cards. The betting round repeats.
Turn and river – These are the betting rounds that occur on the revelation of fourth and fifth community cards. The fifth community card is the last round, after which the showdown will occur to reveal the winning hand.
