8. Minifigures introduced into space!
A pair of rather unique Minifigures was launched into space aboard the 2011 NASA Juno mission to Jupiter, putting the record for the furthest distance travelled with a LEGO Minifigure. The pogo minifigures were modelled after the Roman god Jupiter, his wife Juno, and Galileo Galilei. Unfortunately we will not be seeing these men back on Earth anytime soon, but what will the aliens believe if they visit them?

There are two of those uncommon Minifigures on the planet and so are valued at $11,495.95 USD (over $16,090 AUD!) . This strong 14-carat golden Minifigure is accompanied by two other Bob-Fett Minifigures from the set which has been given away as contest awards in the San Diego Comic Con as well as the 2010 Celebration V Star Wars festival.
