Gregory Criag Brown Jr. AKA Its64boy, a graduate of Norfolk State University, majored in Mass Communications and minored in Music Technology. He completed 4,000 unpaid hours of recording in the same studio Pharell Williams used to sneak into. Ultimately, setting up his own music-centered company was only a matter of time for this passionate pioneer.
Its64boy had always wanted to go to the NBA growing up and make it a career. When he was 14years old, he tried out for the basketball team and the nurse who did his physical exam checked his heart and said, ”Your heartbeat is abnormal, irregular, and you can die any day now.” That deterred Its64boy from ever wanting to pursue his dream because of the fear of losing his life. So when he wasn’t picked for the game, Its64boy picked up music and it became his NBA. With a deep-rooted passion for music, he treats it like a sport each and every day, and lives inside of him.
Its64boy have done some phenomenal projects this year. Its64boy is a Label Owner, Producer, and Artist, which is a triple threat to the music industry. Its64boy is known for being the Tool Of Virginia because when the game needs fixing, Its64boy is here to give the game some fine-tuning.
It all started when I, Gregory Its64boy Brown was 4 years old looking at my pop Dj Skeet on the 1’s and 2’s playing Smokey Robinson, The Beatles, all the way to Dr. Dre, The Chronic. I’ve always wanted to get on the mic when they used to freestyle, but they told me I was too young. As I got older, I used to freestyle in front of the mirror while making beats on the walls while my mom and pop was at work.
Then I got my first CD & Tape player for Christmas and recorded my first song, “Don’t play with me,” on my player. Attending college at Norfolk State University with a major in Mass Communications and a Minor in Music Technology completing 4,000 unpaid hours of recording in the same studio Pharrell Williams used to sneak in to create at NSU as well as producing for talent. Getting the name 64 came from going back in forth from Richmond to Norfolk working with talent rocking the East & West. All of these milestones in my life inspired as well as motivated me to create the label Stackin Up Entertainment LLC.
Its64boy got his name at Norfolk State University because you take 64 East to get to Norfolk, Va from Richmond, Va and you take 64 West to get back to Richmond, Va from Norfolk, Va, so they call me 64 because I rock the East and the West.
