Coronavirus prevention tips

Unless you went on a mission to Mars only to return a few days ago to find the world taken up with something they are calling Covid-19 disease, you must know a few ways you can protect yourself against the disease. They always say that prevention is better than cure, and as such, you need to take active steps to protect yourself against Covid-19 so that you don’t contract the disease and end up with longer conditions such as covid-19 erectile dysfunction and heart diseases.

In this article, I will try to simplify to you some of the steps you can take to protect yourself and those around you against this deadly virus. Exercising these steps will significantly reduce the chances of you being infected with Covid-19 virus.

Wash your hands

Washing your hands regularly does not only keep you safe from this virus, but is also a healthy habit that you should pick up and continue exercising even after the virus has been dealt with and is long gone. You need to wash your hands when you use the washroom or touch surfaces that are dirty or are potential crawling with microorganisms.

In the case of Covid-19, you should wash your hands with soap and water. The choice is usually not a problem because most brands of soap usually contain chemicals that can adequately kill Covid-19 virus from hands and other surfaces such as tabletops and desks. If you choose not to use soap and water, you have the option of cleaning your hands using alcohol-based sanitizer. Soap and alcohol-based sanitizers have the ability to kill this virus together with many others.

Practice social distancing

Social distancing is the one precautionary measure that most people have been completely unable to practice since corona virus broke. People forget to stay at a safe distance from each other only for a few minutes and then they are back to bundling together again. There are many factors that contribute to this behavior among them being the fact that human beings are social creatures and keeping them apart from each other is almost impossible. In fact, in some countries, law enforcement officers are faced with a very hard task of keeping people apart by providing close supervision. Social revolts have also broken up between law enforcement officers and civilians over this issue.

The importance of social distancing is that it keeps you and the people around you safe from the possibility of contracting the virus in case one of you has it and doesn’t know. You are encouraged to stay at home as much as possible until you have completely recovered from the infection. While in public places, you should keep a distance of at least six feet from the next person close to you.

Wear a mask

The thing about Covid-19 is that you could be having it without knowing that you actually have. Some people are completely asymptomatic and do not exhibit any symptoms when they get the virus. As such, you should always cover your nose and mouth with a standard mask so that you don’t spread the infection. Maintaining social distance is not enough when it comes to corona virus.
