Who Can Appear in the JEE Main Exam?

Academic Qualification –

To sit in the Joint Entrance Examination Main entrance test, the candidates have to meet the minimum eligibility criteria. The National Testing Agency, the exam-conducting body, has prescribed the following academic criteria –

  • The candidates need to produce 10+2 or Class 12th certificate from any recognised board.
  • Those appearing in the Class 12th exam are eligible to submit applications for JEE Main.

Age Limit –

  • To appear in the JEE Main exam 2024, the candidates should have been born in 1995.

Number of Attempts –

An interested and eligible candidate cannot appear for the examination more than three times. This attempt-limit is the same for all categories.
